Tobi is super friendly, kind and helpful. His two dogs, Cookie and Mickey, are cool. Beautiful garden and a unique house. Close to a large forest, while still being near the city centre. Tobi’s place were perfect for us, and he helped us with everything we needed. Great place!
Kandy Cottage is possibly the best place to stay in Kandy – It’s clean, tastefully decorated and Thomas was a wonderful host!
I couldn’t recommend this place anymore. Super friendly, clean tidy, location is amazing as you’re in town and in the jungle at the same time. I’ll be coming back !
Moonlit space was just gorgeous. The location is a way from the bustle of Kandy but walkable to the lake in fifteen – twenty minutes. Thomas, who is the Cottage manager, is an absolute legend – full of great advice and genuinely wants you to understand and enjoy Kandy, your next stop and Sri Lanka at large. Breakfast yummy too. A perfect stay and what an amazing human being to meet 🙂
We highly recommend this place! Everything was great, from booking to planning the trip and the stay itself. Thomas was amazing and so welcoming. We really enjoyed the breakfast, and all the space in the house for the kids to move around. It feels like a second home. He gave us great tips on what to do around town and helped us plan some excursions. Amazing place in the middle of nature a few minutes walk from the town.
This cottage is outside of town in a fabulous wooded setting. It’s a quick car ride into the center or about a 15 minute walk. There’s a wonderful park about 5 minutes away on foot that has hiking trails. It’s a very serene setting and the cottage is peaceful, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. Thomas. makes each visitor welcome and goes out of his way to meet your schedule for breakfast or tea. It was a terrific respite from the crowds in Kandy.
Our stay in Kandy was absolutely perfect thanks to Thomas’ hospitality. He showed us around, was very thoughtful and helpful. The place is a charm with its cool, comfortable and sober interior and it has everything you need. The situation also is great because it’s on the edge of the forest (which you can visit) so it’s calm and peaceful but you can reach the city in a ten minutes walk. We totally recommend!
We had a really nice stay! Thomas was a wonderful host. The perfect introduction to Sri Lanka.
Thomas, the onsite host, was very gracious! He brings such a joy and great spirit to Kandy Cottage. He is a wealth of local knowledge. And made the arrangements for us to enjoy much of what Kandy offers. The location up above the city center is tucked away against the national park. Rooms are clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious. Like a local home cooked meal.
